Objectives

  • Teach the concept of growth mindset and brain malleability to students
  • Use words and actions in regularly recurring arenas of classroom life that send high expectations messages to students about your belief in their capacity to learn at high levels
  • Incorporate growth mindset language as an integral part of your teaching
  • Explicitly teach learning strategies and connect them to effective effort
