Lane ESD is creating actionable steps to cultivate a culture of belonging and rightful presence for both staff and students. We are invested in providing learning and growth opportunities for staff and consciously interrogating our own practices to improve the learning environments for our communities.

Lane ESD commits to improving outcomes for students in Lane County by reducing barriers to access, interrupting inequitable policies, and providing culturally specific curriculum that reflects the histories and current experiences of our students. Our strategic plan helps guide us as we identify the practical steps we take to live up to these commitments.

The Lane Equity Advisory Committee (Lane EAC) is a committee made up of Lane ESD staff who seek to represent the various roles, experiences, and identities of the agency. Lane EAC actively supports the implementation and continuous development of the Lane ESD equity lens in alignment with Lane ESD’s vision and mission. We partner with Lane ESD’s affinity groups: BIPOC Affinity Group, Disability & Neurodiverse Affinity Group, and Queer Affinity Group, to foster connection and support for all staff.
