Goals:
  • Explore ways to engage students or small groups with activities embodying "doing environmental science" through observations and working with data
  • Preview and explore both formal GLOBE involvement and the Citizen Science apps offered by GLOBE.

Prerequisites: None
Notes: GLOBE 1 – GLOBE Introduction and Orientation. Attend one of two sessions:

  • Thursday, 5/21 from 2:30 – 3:45 PM
  • Tuesday, 5/26 from 10:00 –11:15 AM

GLOBE 2 – GLOBE WWW and GLOBE Citizen Science (clouds, trees, mosquitos). Attend one of two sessions:

  • Wednesday, 5/27 from 3:30 – 4:45
  • Thursday, 5/28 from 10:30 – 11:45

GLOBE 3 – GLOBE Hydrology Basic Protocols, Attend one of two sessions:

  • Monday June 1 or Thursday June 4, 9:30 – 10:45 AM.

Note: More training opportunities will be announced according to interest and demand for summer and/or early fall. Zoom sessions will be recorded and available to anyone who registers for this GLOBE training series, or through Lane ESD.

PDUs will correspond to the number of hours of PD attended and for asynchronous work. 1 hour synchronous or asynchronous work = 1 PDU.
