Goals: Participants will develop an understanding of and be able to apply three key concepts (area of performance, repertoire, and matching) as they apply to the study of teaching.
Description: This seminar is an overview of the organization of the knowledge base as it is described in The Skillful Teacher (Saphier, Haley-Speca, & Gower, 2018) text. Participants will develop an understanding of and be able to apply three key concepts (area of performance, repertoire, and matching) as they apply to the study of teaching. Participants will also build a repertoire of ways to summarize students' learning and develop criteria they could use to determine which summaries would make the best matches for particular learning experiences.
Lunch: No lunch will be provided.
Prerequisites: Must be an education assistant
Notes: All participants will be provided a certificate for PDUs based on the training hours.
