Goals: We will identify ways to encourage and reinforce growth mindset through the language we use, modeling, and explicit instruction, in both growth mindset and related brain research.
Description: In this seminar we will examine the difference between fixed mindset and growth mindset beliefs and how these beliefs impact student achievement. We will also consider how our beliefs about ability affect the messages we send to students about their capacity to learn. We will identify ways to encourage and reinforce growth mindset through the language we use, modeling, and explicit instruction, in both growth mindset and related brain research.
Lunch: No lunch will be provided.
Prerequisites: Must be an education assistant
Notes: All participants will be provided a certificate for PDUs based on the training hours.
