Goals: Participants will continue to develop cultural proficiency in the context of our schools and classrooms by examining beliefs about teacher knowledge and skills, about the learning environment we create, and about teacher efficacy.
Description: Participants will continue to develop cultural proficiency in the context of our schools and classrooms by examining beliefs about teacher knowledge and skills, about the learning environment we create, and about teacher efficacy. We will define culture and identify the role culture plays in our lives and the lives of our students. We will also discuss five principles that are the beliefs from which culturally proficient behavior emerges.
Lunch: No lunch will be provided.
Prerequisites: Must be an education assistant
Notes: All participants will be provided a certificate for PDUs based on the training hours.
